This was an AUX air conditioning unit which was installed 4 years ago. The indoor unit has completely iced up. I recommended to replace this with a Fujitsu unit, as it is not worth fixing. The unit was for a storage facility which stores honey. It stops the honey from getting too cold in the winter months, if it goes too cold in the jar, the honey crystallises and ruins the product. The AUX brand is a cheap brand, the plastic parts are flimsy, uses old R22 refrigerant (being phased out), and has old technology. These are still for sale on Trade Me but I wouldn’t recommend buying these. Buy a good brand, as quality remains, long after the price is forgotten.

This the outdoor unit of a large Mitsubishi ducted air conditioning unit installed to a new house in Westmere just before Christmas. The outdoor unit is a 2 fan type, and fits just under the laundry window.

This was part of an extensive renovation of an old bungalow house, now fitted with all of the mod cons.

We have a single piece pre-cast concrete plinth that the outdoor unit can sit on. This saves the builder boxing up, and getting a concrete truck in for a small concrete job like this and enables us to get cracking straight on with the installation.

This outdoor Fujitsu Heat Pump unit is on the 5th floor outdoor terrace of a central city apartment block. Lots of lugging everything up lifts ! A good position for this unit, as it is out of view from the window, and enough room for a person to get past for cleaning the windows, or if you need to get to the other services. This was a Fujitsu 7.2KW high wall unit, which was needed due to the large amount of single glazed windows. This penthouse had a great view.
